![]() ![]() Walmart store card (Originally applied for the MC and the store card was a counter offer).I have four cards from capital one that I applied for over the years. I don't think it counts towards their limit. Question being, if I apply for this card would it count as a second Capital One card as far as the count that Capital One keeps on how many lines of credit you can have with them? This isn’t a card you can go to Capital One dot com and get pre-approved for, at least as far as I know, so I’m just unsure. I want a thicker file and longer history but there’s no way to do that with bad credit without racking up a bunch of less than stellar cards. I’m not sure where you draw the line as far as trying to build your credit but only qualifying for shitty cards. I have a thin credit file and I’m just trying to build my file but I don’t qualify for very good cards yet. I already have one Capital One card and if Capital One only allows 2 cards then this isn’t the allocation I would choose. So I was going through the application process, saw that it was through Capital One and now I’m not so sure. Note, this is not the Capital One Walmart card which can be used anywhere, it’s just the Walmart store card that can only be used at Walmart. I was going to apply for the Walmart store card when I realized it was backed by Capital One.
